Bacchae have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called Next Time and will be out on July 5 via Get Better Records. The album was recorded with J. Robbins and features 10 tracks including their single “Cooler Talk” which was released last month. The band has also released the title track. Bacchae released their album Pleasure Vision in 2020. Steve Albini has passed away

Steve Albini has passed away

Sadly, iconic engineer and musician Steve Albini has passed away. Albini was 61 and passed away of a heart attack at his recording studio, Electrical Engineering. Albini's band Shellac were preparing to tour- their new album To All Trains is out next week. As ou may know, in addition to his bands Shellac and Big Black, Albini recorded/engineered albums by Nirvana, Pixies, PJ Harvey, Screaming Females, Leftover Crack, F-minus, OM, the Stooges, Jesus Lizard, Oxbow, and many more.

Talking 'Name Your Sorrow' with Pamela Connolly of Pillow Queens

Last month Dublin-based indie rockers Pillow Queens released their incredible third album Name Your Sorrow. The band holds nothing back as they delve deep into heartbreak along with all the grief and conflicting emotions that accompany it over the course of twelve tracks brimming with direct and honest lyrics. The album is a masterclass of vulnerability and catharsis as the band gives voice to all the struggles (as well as the small victories) that pave the messy path to healing.
